A new era of affordable, efficient electric vehicles suggests that we will need to adapt our fueling infrastructure to meet the temporal demands of electric charging. The time required for fueling at rest stops offers the opportunity for designers to envision a new type of way point, one that integrates entertainment, relaxation, habitation, and public space with the utility of fueling a private vehicle.
